[S1E10] Kiss And Cry
Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) warned Joey (Matt LeBlanc) that her twin sister would not treat him well in the end, but even when she was proven right, and her sister basically ghosted the guy, she decided not to play "I told you so" and instead dressed up in the sweater he gave her for Christmas to stage the breakup herself. When the split was sealed with a sweet kiss, and Joey realized what just happened, he was completely moved by her gesture, and so were we.

It didn't take long for Rachel to let it slip to Ross that she'd developed feelings for him, too, and while most of the resulting scenes were hilarious -- hi and bye, Michael! -- emotions couldn't help but swell when the two finally ended their intense arguments and shared a kiss, with the dimmed and emptied cafe coated in rain as the backdrop.
Joey and Phoebe always had a soft spot for each other -- and probably should've just gotten together at some point, to round out all the couplings -- so when she was heartbroken to find out that she was a year older than she thought and that her sister had lost track of their mother's suicide note, giving her the "perfect kiss" she'd been hoping to have before 31 was a wonderful gesture.
Tex drops by the lab to say good-bye to Dr. Scott. She's shocked he's going to leave by himself, but he says he has "things to take care of." She mentions the young girl in his locket. She sticks out his hand for him to shake. He tells her she's a special woman and walks away, but decides to go for it. He kisses her, then walks away.
After taking Caroline home, Stefan gets back to school to find Elena. He tells her that they cannot be together and she offers to drive him home. Elena tries to convince him that he is not responsible for what is happening in her life since her life was painful way before his arrival. Stefan is not convinced though and he walks away. Elena shouts at him that she loves him. Stefan, hearing that, gets back to her and kisses her. The two of them get into the house and sleep together for the first time.
With Murphy out of the area and on the run with Max, Jess is left to mope around about her break up with Vanessa alone at her apartment. At least she is until Felix shows up with food from her favorite Indian place. They decide to get high together and things quickly become rather intimate. Jess kisses Felix. There was a nice moment where Felix stopped things to make sure he had her consent which I appreciated.
Max risked his life once again when he put himself in the path of a chemical spill in order to save the hospital. He became drenched in the dangerous liquid, with Helen later bathing him in the decontamination shower. Max overcame the poisoning, and he and Helen nearly shared a kiss. But sadly, fans had to wait just a little bit longer until they made things official.
Back at Lincoln's cave, Octavia arrives and explains the bridge bombing was to stop the attack. Lincoln tells her she doesn't understand because the Mountain Men will come and kill them all. He tells her they have a lot of ground to cover before dark but she tells him she can't go with him because she's decided to stay and help her people. She returns his journal and kisses him on the cheek in goodbye.
The requests are: Mushroom Creatures (they want to dance to music), Coal Man (he wants peace and quiet), a Cactus Creature (she needs pollination to have her babies), Dragon (he has an itchy butt), Ice Cube Creature (he is in very cold water and wants to melt), Fish (they want the flies off of their almost dead mother), a toad and Electroids (they are in a debate with each other because Little Blue Creatures took his plum and the toad stole their triangle), and Naked Wizard (he is just naked and wants to be clothed). Finn becomes stressed, nearly driven to tears by the gravity of his desperate situation to try and stay true to his pledge, and in trying to calm him down, Jake asks Finn what he wants. This triggers the last part of the "boom boom" memory. Finn is still stuck to a leaf when Joshua and Margaret pass by and see him there. The two dogs resemble Jake, for they are Jake's mother and father. Margaret kisses Finn on the cheek, which makes Finn feel better. In response, Joshua tells her that she had just kissed a "boom boom" baby and thus shouldn't expect any "sugar" from him.
It's nighttime in Essos, and Khal Drogo's funeral pyre is being assembled. Daenerys, wearing her wedding finery, gathers the remains of her Khalasar together, freeing any slaves that remain, and gives the command that her dragon eggs be placed on the pyre as well. Ser Jorah protests, assuming that Dany means to throw herself on the pyre, but Dany assures him that this is not her intent (and kisses him on the cheek, which helps shut him up). Finally, she orders Mirri Maz Duur be bound to the pyre.
It is night, and Daenerys is in their tent tending to Drogo. She bathes him, talks to him, even tries to seduce him, but nothing she does reaches him. She realizes he is no longer there, and seeing him in his vegetative state breaks her heart. Crying, Daenerys kisses him goodbye, then smothers him with a pillow.
Daenerys and her small retinue prepare a funeral pyre for Drogo. She makes a speech to the few who are left saying that if they wish to go they may, but if they stay with her she will lead them into a glorious future. She frees those among them who are slaves and asks that they stay as equals. The maegi smirks as some people begin walking away. At Daenerys' command, Rakharo places the dragon eggs on the pyre, and Mirri Maz Duur is lashed to a pillar of the pyre as well. She tells Daenerys that she will not scream while she is burned alive. Daenerys replies that she only wants the maegi's life. Ser Jorah believes that Daenerys intends to kill herself and pleads for her to reconsider, as they can sell the eggs and travel far away. Ignoring Jorah's pleas, she kisses his cheek, and sets the pyre alight. Mirri Maz Duur does indeed scream as she burns, and Daenerys calmly walks into the flames. She stands below the pyre as flames appear to consume her.
Jonas goes to school as it rains, noticing a frustrated Bartosz by the entrance. Bartosz reminds him how he waited for him on Thursday (November 7). He reminds him of how he covered for him, not telling anyone he was in therapy. Jonas apologizes, but Bartosz tells him that Martha told him he kissed her. Jonas tries to explain, but Bartosz gets too furious and shoves him to the ground, saying he is just like his father, at which Jonas lunges at him, and they wrestle on the floor. Martha exits the school and sees them, so she yells at them to stop. Bartosz shouts at Jonas never to come back there. Jonas walks away, his lip bleeding.
He continues that everything that he is experiencing, he has already experienced. He burned the letter just like he did but got it back from their grandmother. He already had this conversation but was on the other side then. He establishes that everyone thinks they're free, but they aren't since their younger selves would follow the same path repeatedly. Jonas is in tears, yelling that this is all crazy. The Stranger admits that for a long time, he thought that this was crazy, but if he lets him out, then he wouldn't become who he is now, and thus, he won't be able to destroy the wormhole. He asks Jonas why he kissed Martha and adds that people are not free in what they do because they are not free in what they want. Jonas tearfully begs him to stop and bangs on the metal door, wailing that he wants all of this to stop. The Stranger assures him that he wants the same thing, but their father is just a "small part of a sprawling sickness." He apologizes and closes the slot, leaving Jonas to cry.
At Abby's place, Buck finally gets the disclosure she needed and they kiss. He noticed that Abby was preparing to travel abroad, to fulfill Patricia's incomplete wishes and to express herself. She admits Buck has changed her along with everyone else, but she has to go. Buck proclaims his mixed feelings and they embrace.
Will carries a basket full of beer and sausages towards the docks. He runs in to Riley, staring at the river. Will approaches Riley and greets her. In Iceland, Riley is in the lobby of a concert hall, waiting to see her father. Will says he's going to see his father as well. Will tells Riley that Jonas said that it's dangerous for her to be in Iceland. Riley tells Will that Yrsa also said the same thing. She tells Will that Yrsa said that Jonas can't be trusted. Will says that they should just take care of each other and not trust anyone. Riley thanks Will, because without him, she wouldn't be there then they kiss. Will wonders how good it will feel if they kiss in real life since their psychic kiss already feels good.
Lito majestically returns to the bar. He orders and drinks six tequila shots. The bartender apologizes for what he did to Lito that last time but Lito tells the bartender that he made a mistake. He grabs the bartender, and they kiss. Lito admits that the bartender's offer was well received. But, Lito says that his heart belongs to another. Lito leaves.
Lito comes to Hernando's apartment, his face covered in bruises. Hernando gets worried about Lito's face covered in bruises and Lito observes that he still cares about him. Lito tells Hernando that he was right, and that Lito made a terrible mistake. He then says that he fixed it, and Daniela enters. Daniela hugs Hernando, telling him that Lito fought Joaquin like it was a movie scene. Confused, Hernando asks about the pictures and Lito says that he doesn't care. Lito and Hernando then kiss while Daniela takes picture of them again, kissing. Hernando asks why she is still taking photos after all the trouble they've been through and Daniela says that Lito doesn't care. The three of them hug and go home together.
But Don is the one who seems insane in "The Grown-Ups," which is when the show dramatized the characters' experience of the Kennedy assassination. He keeps saying everything will be OK, when it is clearly not the case. Earlier in the episode, at ill-timed wedding of Margaret Sterling (Elizabeth Rice), Don forces Betty to dance, and says to her, "Hey. Everything's gonna be fine." Her answer is sensible: "How do you know that?" He kisses her, which is partly public performance and partly that Don, who is paid to communicate, doesn't have an answer. That kiss helps drive Betty to Henry, who tells her that he would like to marry her. Having extracted that promise, Betty is done; Don doesn't stand a chance. 041b061a72
