Aim for the stars and trust in yourself! Nonetheless, the mental assets are only one part of the game. Improve your chances of success by enhancing your knowledge and prowess on a daily basis. No one can consider you worthy of anything unless you take full responsibility for your actions and methods.

And so, we humans have very little control over the circumstances of people, events, and outcomes in life. Further, the 50th Law states that we can control the mindset with which we respond to these events around us:

In Chapter 4 of The 50th Law, Robert Greene reiterates that so much is out of our control. So forget about trying to do it all, and instead, adapt to the environment, ride the momentum, and seek the opportunities that come with it.

In Chapter 6 of The 50th Law, Robert Greene tells you to practice what you preach. Lead by your actions, not words, by working the hardest, keeping the highest standards, taking intelligent risks, and making sound decisions.

In Chapter 7 of The 50th Law, Robert Greene states that many create an idea they want to act on and then search for an audience to accept their idea. However, you should first understand your audience and environment, and then create an idea for them.

In Chapter 8 of The 50th Law, Robert Greene states that mastery requires you to trust the process and spend many hours of practice and struggle. But, in the end, your time investment will result in great satisfaction with the craft and yourself.

In Chapter 9 of The 50th Law, Robert Greene shows you that your self-perception shapes your actions and what you ultimately achieve in life. Thus, you should take on more responsibility, set higher goals, and expect that you will achieve greatness.

The 50th Law is a New York Times bestselling book on strategy and fearlessness written collaboratively by rapper 50 Cent and author Robert Greene.[1][2][3] The book is a semi-autobiographical account detailing 50 Cent's rise as both a young urban hustler and as an up-and-coming musician with lessons and anecdotes from historical figures such as Abraham Lincoln, Sun Tzu, Socrates, Napoleon, Malcolm X, and James Baldwin.[4][5][6]

The 50th Law grew out of the friendship and mutual admiration between 50 Cent and Robert Greene.[7] Greene's book The 48 Laws of Power, which has long been a staple in the hip hop world, came to the attention of 50 Cent, who asked his manager to arrange a meeting. Greene said that he was surprised by 50 Cent's persona and was impressed by his "Zen-like calmness" and eye for strategy.[8] The two began to work on a book project that would combine their two worlds.[8][9]

Each of the 10 chapters in the book explains a factor of fearlessness and begins by telling how 50 Cent learned this Fearless Philosophy in Southside Queens.[11] The 50th Law illustrates the laws of the book by supplementing anecdotes from 50 Cent's life with historical examples from Malcolm X, Miles Davis, Sun Tzu, François de La Rochefoucauld, Machiavelli, Richard Wright, James Baldwin, Thucydides, Dostoyevsky, Charlie Parker, and the Baron de Montesquieu.[12][13][14]

The book debuted at #5 on The New York Times Bestseller list and was a USA Today bestseller.[15][16][17] The book was met with positive reviews, with the New York Post calling The 50th Law "a modern day Art of War," The Guardian referring to the book as "a manual on power similar to the works of Machiavelli and Sun Tzu," and Library Journal stating that The 50th Law is written for "anyone interested in how to succeed in business and the game of life."[18][19][20]
