WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 (sometimes subtitled with featuring ECW) is a professional wrestling video game developed by Yuke's and published by THQ for PlayStation 2 (PS2), PlayStation 3 (PS3), PlayStation Portable (PSP), Wii, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, and iOS. SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 is the eleventh overall installment in the video game series based on the professional wrestling promotion World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), the successor to 2008's SmackDown vs. Raw 2009, and the sixth game under the SmackDown vs. Raw name; named after the promotion's SmackDown and Raw brands. It was also the third and final game to feature the promotion's ECW brand before its dissolution on February 16, 2010.
SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 features new additions to match gameplay. A new feature that has been added is the "THQ Training Facility", a tutorial option. The player is able to choose a superstar, their non-player character opponent (or they may choose to play with another player), the match type, and the game or match settings. During the match, various pop-ups will appear with different instructions on how to perform actions, such as the grapples or maneuvers available to be performed. WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 would be the 11th game in this series! I am a huge wrestling fan and have been since 1989 so I have seen every WWF/E game that has come and gone. With this game, I felt it had a great deal to live up to as the 2009 edition of the game is one of my favorites and introduced the Road to WrestleMania mode which was one of the best single-player modes we had in this series up to that point.

This game is stacked and pretty much every match type you can think of is here. You have your standard one on one and tag matches. However, you also have matches such as the Hell in a Cell, a ladder match, Royal Rumble, cage, championship scramble, Elimination Chamber, and much more.
I would not say that WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 is one of the best games in the series, but it is a decent enough effort. Once again, the real star here is the Road to WrestleMania mode which is just an absolute blast to play through. For those that love the creative side that these games offer, Story Designer is going to be something you get a great deal out of, but the following years game did do it better in my opinion.

The story designer allows anyone to script their own road to Wrestlemania and could conceivably provide new storylines for as long as players embrace it. The game is still plagued by some lingering problems, however, and one has to wonder how much mileage this series can continue to get out of its current model before there isn't enough new stuff to entice players to make another purchase.
